Life is definitely on the upswing! Not too much to complain about. Spring is around the corner and the weather is starting to slowly warm back up.

I have a class tomorrow on diabetes. It's 3 hours long. I hope its not boring. LOL I have been to one before when I had GD with Maddy.

Much to the dismay of her father, Tawni will not be playing the violin next year in jr high. She is so good too. I hope she continues to play on her own because she really picked it up and her teacher said that she is one of her best students and she teaches at 8 different schools.

Maddy is going through a phase where she likes to moon people. LOL What am I going to do with her?

Haylee no longer has a boyfriend, and she doesn't seem to be sad by it. Not like Tawni gets. She still has a few years to really want to want one. Lets hope those years go by slow. ;) I can only handle one daughter liking boys right now.

Larry H Miller died today from complications of diabetes. I am scared by this. I know how serious this disease is but somehow it never hit me until I was diagnosed. I was never a fan of his or anything he did (his sports, his car dealerships, etc...) but Utah has lost someone HUGE! He will be missed by many people.

WE ARE POTTY TRAINED!!!! I am so excited! Maddy hasn't been in diapers for 2 weeks and she has only had a few accidents, and only one at night. We, especially her daddy, are so proud of her! Now if we can get her in her own bed! Suggestions are welcome! ;)

I FINALLY got the results back from my liver ultrasound. He said it looks fine. There are a few places that are a little fatty but that he isn't worried about it because everyones has a little bit of fat in theirs. So the next step is to lose weight (which exercising has been going good, not great, but good) and to have my liver levels checked again in May. I soooo hope that they go down again. I don't want to get a biopsy done.

Brian and I celebrated the 14th anniversary of our first date last night by having a little ice cream date while the girls were at church. It was nice. We don't get to be alone too often. He is a great man and even though we almost didn't make it, I wouldn't want to be with anyone else. *Awwwww*

Last night I let Tawni drive my car down the driveway so Maddy could drive her Princess Car that she got for Christmas. She did pretty good, which doesn't surprise me since she drives on her friends dads property when she sleeps over. She is seriously growing up so fast! :(

I am working on Spring Cleaning my house. It is taking a lot longer than I wanted to because the older two girls aren't helping out. Dang it. It'll get done though. And I will be so excited. I haven't felt the need to clean like this in a long time. LOL I wish I had a maid so I wouldn't need to feel the need...

This funny story is about Maddy.

I was sitting in the front room rocking in the glider. It was right after my back surgery I think. Maddy can up to me, pulled down her diaper and started spreading her butt cheeks apart and then together and then apart and together and started quacking at me. She was moving her bum like it was what was quacking. I swear that girl..... Brian loved it and told all his friends who thought that was hysterical. She is so weird.

I had my appointment with the gastroenterologist yesterday and the bloodwork that I had done on January 30th all came back negative. There are a few things my doctor didn't test for, but apparently those things are very rare to get. Anyway, Monday, I am having an untrasound done on my liver. I hope things look good. The gastroenterologist is thinking maybe it's fatty tissue which is not a good thing. So I have to go back in May to see him again. In the meantime I have to get my diabetes under control and do something about my weight, (which I am!) and we will see then if my liver levels have come down, and if not, I have to get a biopsy done on my liver, which I DON'T want.

Last night was Maddy's first night with out a diaper or pull up on when she went to bed. I was very nervous since she does sleep with me, but the baby princess woke up dry. :) YAY!! Very exciting! And she even went poop in the potty for the first time, without being told to today. This is progressing very nicely. We have run out of pull ups and I am not sure if I should buy more.

I took Maddy to the doctor last night because of her fever. It got to almost 104, on a regular basis. I tried the alternating of motrin and tylenol but the motrin was the only thing that worked to keep it down. Boo. He said her ear looks to be on the border of infected, so he wrote me a prescription for her ear (she gets ear infections A LOT! Last time she had one it took 3 different antibiotics to get rid of it after learning she is now allergic to penicillin.) to fill just in case she get worse. This morning she woke up burning up and so far the motrin is doing its job. I hope this fever doesn't come back.

I am sorry I can't think of a story right now. Maddy was up late last night and I am exhausted! I want a nap! LOL

I HATE cleaning. Why can't I have a maid?? Especially after I am sick. No one seems to like to help stay on top of things so I end up getting better to a MESSY house. GRRR

I am finally feeling better and I think I am now used to my meds that the side affects don't bother me anymore. Thank goodness! I have a baby that is battling a fever now and is throwing up. I hate when she is sick. :( I hope Mad feels better soon. If she is still sick I am taking her in tomorrow.

Tomorrow is my appt with the gastroenterologist. Wish me luck! :) I hope that he/she finds nothing wrong and that the test results that showed something was wrong was just a fluke or that it was nothing serious and my liver healed itself.

Our vacation to Vegas is now canceled. Because now we have more prescriptions and more supplies for me and def more doctor visits. The good news is we are going to Bear World in Idaho and going to get season passes to Lagoon this year. Way cheaper and still a lot of fun. And this time, I BETTER be able to bottle feed the baby bears. Do you hear that Brian???? :)

This funny story is about Haylee:

A few years ago we went to WalMart so Tawni could find some dressy black shoes and Haylee got into the nylon socks... the ones you can use when you try on the shoes. She put one on her hand and it looked like she had webbed fingers. She kept it on when we went to the dept that Brian works in and just when we weren't expecting it, she says, "Look at my hand MOM!! I can't believe you married your cousin and did this to me!!!" I was so embarrassed!! Then when were leaving I was giving Brian a good bye kiss and she said, "Mom stop kissing your cousin!"
Yeah, that story will have me chuckling for years!!

I LOVE this blogging stuff! :)

I got a call today for the results on my blood work for my liver. The tests couldn't tell them anything, so Friday I have an appointment with a gastrointerologist. I am taking that as a good sign. I think that if it was a bad thing, it would have showed up in my blood work.

Maddy is still doing great potty training. She went to school today with no pullup on and her teacher said she did GREAT! I am so proud! Looks like we are going to have an ice cream date with Maddy soon.

I think I am FINALLY getting used to my new medications. I still hate them because I hate medicine of any kind, but I know I need to take these.

Brian has a friend at one of his jobs and he told Brian that the last few years I have cost him a lot of money so it is time for him to trade me in for a new model. LOL! That guy is going to get a serious butt-kicking when I see him again. He is a good guy and I know he was joking.

I know my last blogs were kind of downers, but that is what is going on in our life right now. It does feel good getting all of this out of me, though. Anyway, at the end of each blog, I am going to write something funny that my kids have said or done in the recent or long ago past. Just to end things on a good note. :)

When Tawni was a little girl, she had the Scooby Doo gang as her imaginary friends. One day she was outside playing and RUSHED in to go pee. She was about 5 or so when this happened. So she is running through my house doing the pee pee dance as she goes and finally makes it to the bathroom. After a few seconds she comes out of the bathroom crying hysterically holding herself so she doesn't pee in her pants, still doing the pee pee dance. I asked her what was the matter, why was she crying, and she said that Fred wouldn't get off the potty so she could go. LOL I think she is going to kill me when she sees I posted this story! I hope that story made you smile just as she makes me smile every day.

We may be getting a baby turtle! I am so excited! We had a turtle but he died a few years ago. I think turtles are so fun! The one we are getting still needs to hatch. So it's going to be just a baby. The last one we had, I named him Pokey, but I am unsure of what to name this one. I am open to suggestions....and a turtlesitter if we get it before we go to Vegas in March. :) Maddy is going to LOVE it!!

Still doing great with the potty training. I can't wait until we don't have to buy anymore pull-ups. I told Maddy that me and her daddy will take her out on a special ice cream date and I will buy her more Disney Princess panties if she potty trains. LOL She is making a lot of change in doing this. We switched from quarters to nickles though. And she gets double for pooping in the toilet, which so far she hasn't done.
